Tasting Note: A melange of dark, brambly fruit, floral perfume and savoury. A very deep red with purplish tints. A nose of blackberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and a hint of pepper. Spicy and juicy on the palate, with satiny tannins and a succulent finish.
Background: The vines sit in an east-facing combe on Mont Brouilly, on a clayey/silty terroir coming from a mineral-rich, blue volcanic rock. The vines are planted in little terraces, which makes the manual work easier and helps to combat erosion.
Serving: Pop this into the fridge for 15 minutes to freshen it up! Best served at 14-16°C
