About us

The Story of Emile Wines

Emile Wines is a London-based, female-founded wine importer and retailer.

Our portfolio is dynamic and unique, offering authentic, terroir-driven wines from Burgundy and California’s elite, whilst also championing wines off the beaten track from across the classic regions of France. Much of the portfolio comprises organic and biodynamic wines and all of our growers work towards the philosophy of sustainability, often with a low-interventionist approach.

Emile Wines is the destination for restaurant quality wines you can enjoy at home. Predominantly we sell to the best of London’s dining scene (Mountain, Chishuru, Dorian, Noble Rot, Café Cecilia, Spring, Lyle's, Ikoyi, The Connaught and Sketch, to name a few). Every bottle in our online shop can be found in some of the country’s most exciting restaurants.

With more than fifteen years working in the industry for one of the most respected and pioneering wine buyers in the UK, our founder, Rebecca created Emile Wines from her desire to be able to supply wines from the most desirable producers and sought-after styles at every price point. She has carefully curated our selection based on artistry, wines with a sense of place, and environmental consideration.

The world of fine wine, in particular the wines of Burgundy, can be seen to be elitist and inaccessible. Rebecca has set out to demystify this often opaque world of wine, seeking out bottles that capture the unique qualities of their regions. She is committed to finding wines that offer authenticity and quality, making them accessible to a wider audience.

Director

About Rebecca

Rebecca is Emile Wines’ Director and Buyer, and has worked in the wine industry for over 15 years, beginning her career in retail whilst studying for and completing the WSET Diploma, before moving onto work as a buyer for a long-established Burgundy importer for 10 years. She spent time in the Master of Wine programme where it became evident her true love was Burgundy, a region she has been visiting since 2008. Over many years, she has cultivated long-standing and meaningful relationships with a number of the region’s most talented winemakers, guaranteeing that these great wines have a direct route to your dining room tables, as well as many of London’s best-loved restaurants.

Orders & Customer Support

About Lillie

Lillie joined at the end of 2023 as Buying and Logistics Coordinator. Like a lot of people in the wine trade, Lillie was working at Majestic Wine when she first realised that wine was a pretty cool industry to be a part of. Two years later, Lillie became Assistant Buyer at 5 Hertford Street private members club. A real nerd at heart, Lillie loves the logistical side of wine buying just as much as she does the drinking, and also hopes to progress further in her WSET studies in years to come.
