About us

Emile Wines is an independent, female-founded wine importer based in London.

Founded by Rebecca Perry after more than fifteen years working in the wine industry, Emile began with a desire to build a portfolio of serious, beautifully made wines without the formality that can so often surround them.

Our roots are in France, and Burgundy has always been an important part of our story. Over the years, Italy has become just as important to what we do, working with growers across both countries whose wines we’re excited to bring to the UK.

We’re drawn to the classics, but equally to what lies beyond the obvious: lesser-known appellations, indigenous grape varieties, overlooked regions and small growers making exceptional wines that deserve a wider audience.

The Emile portfolio moves between sought-after bottles and brilliant everyday drinking, established domaines and producers you might be discovering for the first time.

You’ll find our wines on the lists at some of the UK’s best restaurants, alongside brilliant neighbourhood spots and independent wine shops.

And now, through Club Emile, we share them directly with you.

What we look for

We’ve never been particularly interested in wines because of their label, score or status.

We look for character, a sense of place and growers who care deeply about what they do. Many of the producers we work with farm organically or biodynamically, and many take a low-intervention approach in the cellar.

We work closely with our growers in France, Italy and beyond, building relationships over years and returning to taste new vintages. Some are established names; others work on a tiny scale, farming local varieties and making wines that rarely travel far beyond their own region.

Our job is to do the searching, travelling, tasting and choosing, then help you find a bottle you’ll genuinely want to open.

Club Emile

Club Emile is our way of opening up the Emile portfolio to private customers.

Join us for a regular selection of wines chosen by us, with deliveries every month, every two months or every three months. Members also receive 15% off our wider portfolio and first access to small parcels, new arrivals and one-off finds.

Or simply order a one-off Club Emile selection whenever something catches your eye.

Our seasonal wine list

We don’t run a traditional online wine shop.

Instead, we put together a changing seasonal list from the wider Emile portfolio for private customers who want to choose their own bottles.

Expect new arrivals, old favourites, everyday drinking, special bottles, limited allocations and the occasional parcel that won’t be around for long.

Weddings & celebrations

We’ve spent years choosing wine for restaurant tables. We can do the same for yours.

For weddings and celebrations, we can help you choose everything from fizz for the first glass to wines for dinner and bottles to keep the party going.

Tell us what you’re eating, how many people you’re inviting and roughly what you’d like to spend, and we’ll build a selection around you.

It can be as simple or as involved as you like - from supplying the bottles to helping plan the whole wine offering.

Corporate & gifting

For client gifts, team presents, dinners, events or something a little more bespoke, we can put together wine selections from the Emile portfolio around your budget and brief.

Rather than standard corporate gifting, we can choose bottles with a story behind them and include tasting notes and information about the people who made them.

Tastings & events

We host private tastings and collaborate with restaurants, brands and venues on dinners, launches and events.

A tasting might focus on a particular grower, region or style, or simply be six brilliant bottles we think you should know about.

We can also create bespoke wine selections for private dinners, parties and events without the tasting element.

For restaurants & the trade

Restaurants have been part of Emile from the beginning.

We supply restaurants, bars and independent retailers across the UK, from everyday by-the-glass wines to small allocations and fine wine.
