Tasting Note: Fruity on the nose, with notes of cherry, blueberry, pomegranate, white pepper, a hint of liquorice. While on the pallet, it is fresh and thirst-quenching with supple tannins
Background: Julien Guillot, winemaker at Vignes du Maynes has created a very experimental cuvée with Megamix. It's essentially a very high-end Vin de Soif in that it's very drinkable but also has great complexity. The grapes were bought from winemakers who share the same values as Julien, strictly respecting their environment. Manual harvest, with sorting in the vineyard and on tables. Natural vinification, 18 months of aging in conical wooden vats, no new oak.
