Tasting: Hints of wild berries, earthy notes, and a bit of fennel and pine. It’s medium-bodied, with firm tannins and rich, peppery black fruit flavours. There’s a nice, steady grip as it finishes, smooth but with a little kick
Background: Made by the famous Burgundian couple Anne Gros of Domaine Anne Gros in Vosne-Romanée and Jean-Paul of Domaine Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune, these wines are wonderful examples of refined, sophisticated winemaking from less famous terroirs.
The fruit is fully de-stemmed and ageing is 50% in stainless steel and 50% oak barrels.
