Dry Creek Zinfandel, 2020| Dry Creek Valley, California
Notes of sweet cinnamon and red cherry mixes with bramble fruit, toasted spices and cocoa, and velvety mouth-coating tannins.
Region: Dry Creek Valley, California
Grape/s: Zinfandel
Farming: Sustainable/dry farming
Tasting Note: Notes of sweet cinnamon and red cherry mixes with bramble fruit, toasted spices and cocoa, and velvety mouth-coating tannins.
Background: This comes from the Nalle family vineyard. The Zinfandel was planted in 1927 by the family's great-grandparents, Fred and Ruby. Soils here are well-drained, gravelly clay loam that help to impart layered notes of raspberry, strawberry, violet, and rhubarb.
Serving: You want this room temperature but definitely not too warm. A little bit of freshness here - even just 10 minutes in the fridge - will do this wine the world of good!
