This single plot - Côte de la Houssaye - sits on the typical Anjou Noir schist. The bunches are destemmed and moved to concrete tanks for maceration. It is then moved to 400 litre and 500 litre barrels for fermention. The wine will then spend one year ageing in 500 litre barrels.

Tasting Note: This is a beautiful and intense example of Cabernet Sauvignon with the schist and cool climate giving this wine a racy savouriness. There are notes of aniseed, forest floor and sappy blackcurrant.
