Tasting Note: Focused and precise with tremendous vigour. Lemon rind, pear and floral notes - powerful but more taut than weighty. 

Background: The vines were planted in 1997 on wind blown sand in the very schisty part of the Clos in the highest point in the appellation. Emmanuel is very interested in the sandy character here as it produces a very fine and delicate texture, though there is all the persistence on the finish associated with schist. 

Serving: Cold - but not too cold! (10–12°C).
