Tasting Note: Bright citrus and delicate florals, supported by a richer more savoury character and a flinty mineral edge. Develops hugely with each glass as the bottle opens up so take your time with it !
Background: Located between Valmur and Preuses, the grand cru Vaudésir has slightly steeper slope than its peers, with pure Kimmeridgian limestone soil. Fermentation and élevage takes place over 12 months in old French oak barrels, with regular lees-stirring. 2022 is a rather more generous vintage in youth than the austere 2021s. Still with plenty of ageability in the wine but far more accessible when drunk early.
