Tasting Note: Elegant with silky tannins and superb depth. Racy and powerful with notes of fresh earth, violets and bright red fruit.
Background: From 53 year old vines, planted at the bottom of Pommard on gravel and clay soils with a line of iron which is excellent for Pinot.
This is vinified with 92% whole-bunch and just plunged by foot, which gives the wine the signature explosive aromatics and spicy character.
Serving: Room temp (15-17°C). Decanting is recommended.
