Region: Hautes-Côte de Nuits, Burgundy 

Grape: Chardonnay 

Farming: Organic/ biodynamic/ sustainable - a mix as wines are made from purchased fruit.

Tasting Note: Rich and textured, with a firm spine of minerality and ripe pear fruit. Buttered popcorn and chalk. Rich, expansive and chiselled. 

Background:  The grapes come from Villars-Fontaine which sits behind Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Hautes-Côte de Nuits.

Bottled unfined and uniltered it is full of dry extract with a lovely rich, viscous texture. 

Serving:  Cold - but not too cold! (10–12°C).
