Tasting Note: Mazoyères is rich and velvety, complex with firm tannins that melt with age. With time gaining in intensity and length.
Background: This comes from two parcels of vines on the lower part of the Mazoyères vineyard, close to the border with Morey-Saint-Denis.
All the fruit was destemmed, with a short, cold maceration followed by very light punch downs by foot and long pump-overs. Aged in barrel for 18 months in, 50% new.
Serving: Room temp (15-17°C).
Decant into decanter/jug/carafe for 1 hour before drinking.
