Tasting Note: This is a very distinct expression of Pinot and there is always a strong smoky note, which Dominique thinks comes from the unique terroir. It is brimming with sweet red and blue fruit, spice and floral notes.

Background: From just outside Chablis and on the same Kimmeridgian fossil-rich, limestone soils which seem to give wines from this part of the world a unique mineral character. There is more clay here than in Chablis, making it ideal for Pinot Noir.
